Khabarovsk

Khabarovsk is a prominent City and a major industrial and commerce center in the far east of Russia. The City is the administrative capital of the Khabarovsk Krai. The City was founded as an outpost in 1651 and attained its “City” status about 140 years ago. The City lies along the Amur River which is ranked as the sixth longest river in the world and is a geographical boundary between Russia and the China.
Economy:

Khabarovsk is home to a number of established industries such as; crude oil processing, food processing, metallurgy, ship building and fishing. The city is a regional headquarter for a number of national and foreign firms.

Tourism:

Khabarovsk is a fascinating city full of attractions and activities for the visitor. You can take a boat cruise along the Amur River, with meals and drinks served on board. There is a wide selection of restaurants, pubs, casinos and souvenir shops.
Other places to visit include; the Museum of Regional Studies, the Far East Museum of Fine Arts, the Philharmonic Theater, the City’s Circus and the Khabarovsk Botanical Garden. A number of local tour operators provide sightseeing trips and excursions for groups.

Transport:

The City is served by the Novy Airport which caters for domestic flights.
